Amphibian health: advice for fieldworkers

Disease potentially poses a considerable threat to amphibian populations. Chytridiomycosisis is an infectious fungal disease that can cause mass mortality in some amphibian populations. The disease has been confirmed on the Solway and field workers are asked to follow the guidelines (see attached) to reduce the potential for spreading the disease between populations. For more information on amphibian disease visit ARC's disease pages.
